Women’s health is a broad term that Flower Power encompasses the overall health of females, including reproductive, sexual and gynecological health. In a world where one half of the population is female, women’s health presents a huge opportunity for value creation and to improve lives.

A broader definition of women’s health could help ensure that healthcare providers, governments and societies focus on the most important health issues for women–and, in turn, for their communities. That includes a more comprehensive approach to prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), a life-course perspective on sexual and reproductive health, and sex-disaggregated collection, analysis and dissemination of healthcare data.

A healthy vagina can prevent a variety of vaginal problems, including irritability, itchiness and discharge. This is especially true during menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth.

Practicing safe sex, completing STI testing if needed and following recommended cancer screening guidelines are essential for a healthy vagina. Other factors, such as a healthy diet, regular physical activity and alcohol use in moderation can also promote vaginal health.
